I love this book for my 3 year old. It's got a whole page of upper and lower case letters, the paper is good quality and doesnt tear easily.It also depicts the direction of the pen movement.My kid loved it!

Nice quality book with 3 pages of outlines for each letter. The letter are just over an inch tall, so big enough for our 3 year old to be able to follow along as she learns to hold a pencil and build dexterity. We have encouraged it as a fun activity and she sits down on her own now and will go through a line or two of a letter then flip to another page or activity; there are plenty of each letter so she can come back to the same letter multiple times.The paper is good quality, sturdy enough that we're not just tearing through pages, and the seam of the book is light enough that she can fold it open and have a flat surface to write across both sides of the page.

This practice book is great. Many more pages of letter tracing than other comparable books.

Very simple book, ended up returning. Wanted something that was spiral bound OR with perforated pages that could be torn out easily. I think any preschooler would have a tough time trying to keep the book open to the right page while they were working on tracing letters. Even if you thouroughly broke the binding. Great quality of pages and I liked the cover material, just not practically designed for small children in my opinion.

The book is in good shape. The paper isn't too thin where it would rip if you needed to erase any errors. Very good practice for little ones learning how to write letters and also learning the first letters to simple words. My son loves it. He does it everyday after school with no complaints.

I know that this is "old technology" but it is tried and true. Our 3+ year old granddaughter took to it immediately and sits down with it for a few minutes every time she visits us. It is fun to watch her get excited about recognizing letter on all kinds of objects after she has learned to trace them. You can't go wrong with this workbook.

Nice workbook. Alittle advanced for a 3 yr old who is just learning to hold a pencil and write. But I'm sure he'll love it soon enough.

Interesting, concise summary of the story surrounding the Titanic. While there were some interesting new insights for me particularly related to the ship interior design and the stories around specific passengers, most of the material was already very familiar to me. Because the book is so short, of necessity, it provides scant backup for the ultimate claim that the likely cause was bad luck rather than errors by the crew and design/fabrication flaws in the ship itself.The writing style is fluid and easy to digest in about an hour. I think of this as the ”Readers Digest Condensed Book” of history on the Titanic. Good as far as it goes but I tend to prefer more in depth study of historical events, etc. rather than to dabble in such things. Recommended if you are looking for a quick review or study of the topic. Otherwise, there are more comprehensive works on this subject (one that has been thoroughly thrashed in books, movies and TV). Because of this, I think there is little need for this book. This format, to me, is more amenable to more obscure yet interesting subject matter.

This short information packed story fascinated me and enlightened me..The authors wonderful detailed writing style helped me to learn much more of the harsh realities of the Titanic’s origin and it's demise which surprised me, angered me and saddened me. And, in some strange way it was good or helpful to know who was partly responsible yet angered me knowing it could have been prevented I must say having seen the. Movie Titanic afforded me amazing visuals which brought the telling of the Titanic’s history to life. I was fascinated by some of the passengers described and named - their lives and loves and reasons for being on board were brilliantly written by the author as well as their wealth and status and their part in the Titanic’s construction and decisions that caused many to die in attempts to save money. Tragic. The crews fates from captain to janitor were intimately described in heart wrenching detail.The miscommunication defined rendered me speechless as the harsh reality that they could have all been saved if only the ship nea by that saw the red rockets saw them as distress rockets and not merely a location indicator. The fear and horror of the ship's sinking was well written and took my breath away. I was glad to read that all was not in vain as many regulations for safer sea travel resulted from the sinking of the Titanic. Argueably the most memorable sea diaster in history, and the one I find most fasinating for reasons I will discuss in this review, is the sinking of RMS Titanic on April 14-15, 1912. As described in the author's narative, after boarding the crew and most passangers, the RMS Titanic, advertised as "the Ship of Dreams" and "Unsinkable", began her maiden voyage on Wednesday April 10, 1912 from Southhampton, England sailing to Queenstown, Ireland, to take on more passengers. The RMS Titanic, the newest addition to the prestigious White Star Line Company, with 2,223 passengers and crew aboard steamed out of Queenstown, on the morning of April11, 1912 travling the long established North Atlantic shipping lane, bound for New York City. Cruising at near top speed, without incident April 11, 12, 13, and 14. The Titanic crew did their jobs diligently, and the passengers of all classes enjoyed the beautiful decor, wonderful food, and the many other amenities available to them. The weather was very pleasant until it became quite cool the morning of April 14. The Titanic received Iceberg Warnings that same morning and took appropriate percautions. At 1140 pm April 14, lookouts reported the an iceberg, and despitei taking prompt and correct action the bridge officer was unable to avoid the collision with an iceberg to the right of her bow which tore through 5 of the 7 water tight sections of the ship. First responders reported that the ship was taking on massive amounts of sea water, with14 feet of water aboard at 1159 pm. The Captain ordered abandon ship shortly there after. Although Titanic carried the number of lifeboats required by law, they could only hold 1000 souls. Further the lack of lifeboat training and drills for crew or passengers resulted in only 705 people surviving the diaster. At 0240 am on April 15, 1912, while the the ships orcastra played on the great ships sank into the frigid North Atlantic waters with more than 1,500 souls still onboard.This book was written and published by Hourly Histories. This book suggests and I agree that the death of the Titanic occurred at a time that allows it to symbolize the end of an era of wealthy, gallant gentlemen; faith in technological progress; unbridled greed and displays of oppulance, and a sense of optimism about the future. The sinking of the so called "unsinkable ship" on her maiden voyage shook faith in technologies, as surely as the World War that erupted not two full years later shattered faith as war technologies were employed to slaughter millions of people. What ever the case, the story of the Titanic is an enthralling tale, from its conception, to its demise, to its re-discovery decades later. This was a good read that almost everyone can enjoy!

The basic theory is that the fire weakened the metal hull plates that were struck by the iceberg. Another omission was the construction of the “water tight” compartments. They were rectangular containers open at the top, thus when filled the water could spill into the next compartment. Apparently that is what happened.I recommend this book for those curious or seeking more details about the sinking. It provides a good, quick summary of the ship and its short history. And, it also mentions the Titanic’s sister ships which have received little notoriety.

Let me just say that you will ugly cry over this--I started crying during the introduction! It looks like a children's book, but no way will you ever ever ever be able to read this to your kids without sobbing uncontrollably and scaring the bejezus out of them. LOL That being said, I LOVE this book, just as any parent who can get super-emotional about how quickly these babes are growing up can love a book. As soon as I read it, I ordered six more for my close mama friends and my mother-in-law for Mother's Day. All of them sobbed. My husband even encouraged his male employees to give it to their moms for Mother's Day too! It is altogether lovely and terrible, since it underlines and highlights how much of a blur childhood is for us parents...what a wonderfully hard and fast road it is.

My wife highly recommends this book to mothers of all kinds. She received it has a gift when we had our daughter and she immediately purchased three more to give away to others. The concept of the book is very unique and hits home for most mothers. It is something you never really think about, the last time you do certain things with your child and the impact those times will have on you as the parent. The illustrations are very nice but really it's the overall concept of the book that hits home and is hard to forget. It is a perfect gift for expecting and new mothers. We would most definitely highly recommend it to others.

This book left me a blubbering mess. I would say this is not a book for your child. This book is for the parents to read when we are feeling stressed, angry, overwhemlmed, etc with our children. It gives me an attitude adjustment that helps me enjoy every chaotic moment with my son. This book is a blessing.

It was written by a mom of six children, Karen Kingsbury. In the beginning of the book, the author writes a message of how the book was created. Everyone celebrates "a child's first steps, first word, first tooth" but there will never be moment when you will know it's your child's last. Time flies and we must appreciate the moment we have today especially with little ones because they grow up so quickly. The book will touch the heart of any mom that has sons.

I am in love with this book. You will need tissues nearby but as a mom it touches your heart and gently reminds you to treasure the time you have with your children. This book is one of my go to baby shower gifts

This is one of my all time favorite "children's" books. I put children's in quotes because it's just as much for parents as it is for their children. I used to read this book quite often to my children when they were little. They're too old for that now, and I sincerely miss those days. The pictures are wonderful but the message it sends to parents is one that should never be forgotten. Karen Kingsbury hit the mark with this book. It is, in my opinion, one of the best children's books ever written. I always give this book as a gift at baby showers. You definitely won't regret buying this book.

We love reading this book for both our 17 year old and 2 year old. Looking back and what was and looking ahead at what's to come, it's a great reminder that time goes by so quickly, they grow up fast and to cherish every moment and age.

Got this for my 6 year old son. I read it to him the other night and we were both in tears by the end. A real treasure and I'll be taking extra special care of it so I can give it to him when he goes off to college. Totally tugs at the heartstrings. Very well written and it is relatable for parents and kids alike.
